Today is the day

Today is the day I get to spend doing numerous loads of laundry and pack. The girls and I are leaving for Utah in a few days for 2 weeks. We have been waiting for this day for a long time. It seems like forever since Shannon and I decided that I would go to Utah. Wish me luck on my day as Taylin was up most of the night puking and a little diarrhea. She seems to be better but has had a few accidents in her pants. So that's my day and in just a few days I will be on a plane.

I just wanted to take a sec and wish my sister Shannon a Happy Birthday. I don't have any current pictures of her so I won't post any that I have from a few years ago. But I will see her on Saturday Woohoo. I hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy turning 27!!!!!! Happy Birthday

Taylin takes flight

So yesterday I was in the kitchen doing the dishes and I had left the newspaper and the plastic bag it comes in on the couch. Taylin sat on the couch picked up the bag and said this is my parachute. She filled it up with some air then with all her might took the big plunge from the couch to the floor with her "parachute." There was a big thud and her saying well that didn't work very well. I am not sure what her expectations of her little parachute was, oh well.

Happy Birthday Hailey

Today is Hailey's 8th birthday. I can't believe how old she is getting, lets not forget how tall she is. She is just below my chin. To celebrate her day we went to the beach for the weekend. Hailey is the best little girl anyone could ever ask for. She does however, get a little moody, but overall she is awesome.



Some of the highlights from our trip were, Go Karts (which her and I beat Eric and Taylin), carousal (which she said she is getting too old for), a train ride, playing on the beach, touring the Tillamook Cheese Factory (we go every year and it never gets old), eating lots of food, Hailey got a new build a bear, shopping, and of course the great arcade they have there.

We celebrated tonight with my mom and dad. Just a little party to hold her over to this weekend where she will have some friends over for a sleepover, and then another party with cousins next Sunday. She will also get more celebrating when we go to Utah from her aunts and uncles who live there. WE love you Hailey and hope you have a fantastic birthday.

Oh poopy

Do you know why I don't have dogs? Cause I would probably be the one stuck poop scooping and that does not sound inviting. Our neighbors on both sides of us and the 2 houses behind us all have dogs, at least 2 or 3. Now that our weather has cooled down a little I have turned the AC off and have opened windows for a breeze. The downside to this is every single neighbor needs to go out and poop scoop cause I am sick of smelling dog crap. The heat doesn't help with the smell either. How annoying and disgusting this is?

I saw this on my sister Trish's blog and she said I had to play. I didn't want to but she insists and well I tend to do what she tells me so she doesn't beat me up or anything.

So bored

I am so extremely bored these days!!!!! We are having a fun summer, but I am so bored everyday. I need ideas on how to make my days more meaningful and fun with the girls instead of the same daily routines. We are going to Seattle next weekend, the weekend after that is Hailey's bday party, then the next weekend the girls and I are going to Utah for a few weeks, and we also have a weekend beach trip planned at the end of August. But until all these fun filled days come to me I am so bored. I read blogs WAY too much, I feel like a spy on some people. So if you are one of the blogs I frequent WAY too much sorry, but I am just bored........

I'm so excited

Shannon wants me to post about 4th of July, but I have already talked to her about it. We had an amazing day spending it with my parents, Toby, Abbie, and Tabitha. We spent it at a "lake" fishing the day away. We caught a number of fish, I caught the littlest and the bottom of the lake numerous times but oh well. We had a lot of fun just celebrating with family.

Ok I am really excited, forget about the 4th. I just got the best phone call alive from my parents telling me they got me my birthday present. I was shocked for 2 reasons, 1. My bday isn't until September and 2. My family ALWAYS waits for the last minute to do anything. Do you want to know what I got? Do you? Do you? I am going to......

I had to scream. I wanted to go the last time they were here but for some reason it didn't work out. My parents got tickets to go this time and I was super jealous and then they just called and said they got 2 more tickets. Eric didn't know how much I loved the Phantom of the Opera until it was one of the nights on American Idol and I just sat there and sang. You know it's a big deal if I sing to anything. So thanks mom and dad and thanks to your connection. This by far is the best present they could ever give me, well without the exception of giving me life.

Doing our part

Eric and I did our part to stimulate the economy thanks to good ol' George Bush. Let me just set the scene. A few years back we got a new bed, it was awesome. It was a great price, very comfortable, and a good brand. Then we decided (Eric, decided) that we needed to move to Utah. Ugh. On the way the nice rental truck that we had leaked and my mattress was the victim and completely ruined. Double ugh. I hate Utah. The rental place gave us money and well we bought a replacement to hold us over. I forgot to tell you the bed was a queen and also had a foot board and headboard, it was nice and beautiful. Where's the problem? Why get a new bed? Eric is 6'6" and well he slept in the fetal position most nights while I slept an an eighth of the bed. So we thought since we had the money we would get a king bed, for the queen I am. Funny humor I know, since our last name is King I had to throw that in. Lame. So we got our bed it's very big and comfy. Then came the next big project that left my house in a mess for a few days, which caused high anxiety. We gave Hailey our bedroom set we had and then took the dresser she had. This had a bad effect cause I had to clean from top to bottom just to rearrange our room.

The other thing I "made" Eric get was a new lawn mower. I like to mow the lawn and the lawn mower we had was a piece of junk. The bag had a mind of it's own and didn't like to stay attach and made me irate. So we got a new lawn mower and I love it. So of course I had to mow the rest today cause the yard debris gets picked up tomorrow which caused me to pick weeds and all that fun stuff. So my house inside and out looks great.

We do feel so lucky, however. I got some little American flags to put in my yard and I thought since it was so nicely cleaned that I would put them out. They came rolled so the girls and I went inside to try and flatten them out. We were in the house for about 2 minutes and we heard a loud dog fight. Eric went outside and I kept the girls inside so no one would get hurt. Where we were at the rottweiler across the street charged and attacked a black lab on a walk with it's owners. We feel lucky that we had gone inside cause Taylin loves to go up to random pets and pet them. We are lucky that none of the girls were involved in this. The black lab won the fight biting off a bit of the rots ear.

And it's hot and hazy looking. We are only about 85 or so give or take a little but its extremely hazy. The news people say the haze is from the northern California wild fires. It's crazy how something so far away can affect us.

Well, I better go and switch the laundry and do the dishes.
