PG-13?

Yesterday, I had a Dr. appt and Eric and Taylin both went with me. It was my week 39 appt which obviously meant I would get an exam and all that good stuff. Taylin has gone with us the last 3 visits and knows the routine. She stands by the exam table next to the Dr. while she measures my stomach and listens to the heartbeat then she goes and sits by Eric while I have my exam. Yesterday, Taylin wanted to know everything that was going on. After we heard the heartbeat I told her to go stand by Eric. Well, she didn't like that and her stubborn self wouldn't listen. I told her to sit down and then the Dr. told her to sit down and told her she didn't want to see what was going on. Taylin walks to Eric and on the way to him she asks," Is it rated PG-13?" Oh we were all laughing, it's nice to know a good ol' exam is rated PG-13 these days. But more importantly she knows PG-13 movies are bad!

38 weeks and miserable

I think the picture explains how I feel; fat and miserable. Need I say more?



Please forgive my very very messy bathroom. It's kind of hard to clean with one hand. Good thing Shannon will be here soon to clean it. Or maybe I am just waiting for that huge burst of energy?

Congratulations Hailey

This past weekend we were able to gather with friends and family as Hailey was baptized a member of the church. It was such a great day and she looked so beautiful in her new dress. She has been waiting for this day for quite sometime! We want to thank those who came to be a part of her day and for Papa who baptized her!

My past week in a nut shell

Cough, cough, sniffle, sniffle, frustration, lots of medication, lots of tears. This past week and a half have been really trying for our household. Taylin got sick the day before her birthday and was sick for about a week. We still haven't celebrated with cake or anything poor girl. Eric's turn was next with a nice case of bronchitis. Then Hailey and I got it. Hailey got the best of it as far as it not lasting long. I went to the doctor yesterday and have all the flu like symptoms, but was given the official diagnosis of having a sinus and an ear infection. I also had to get a new splint for my thumb and the xrays show that nothing has improved. When it rains it pours I guess.

There is some exciting news though: HAILEY IS FINALLY GETTING BAPTIZED, it's next weekend and if anyone wants to come let me know and I will give you details.

Big feet are a must around here

In order to be a part of our family one of the criterias is you must have big feet. I personally loved it growing up cause that meant that my mom and my sisters couldn't wear my shoes. I wear a size 9 1/2. The girls and Eric have been in desperate need for new shoes. I don't remember the last time Eric got new shoes, cause well he can't walk into any store and find a size 16. You know what they say, the bigger the feet the bigger the sock! (I bet you thought I was going to say something else.) So today Eric took Hailey and they went to Nike outlet. Taylin got to stay home with me cause she is still sick. Eric scored (with shoes, I guess you can say with me too I mean I am pregnant). He had to squeeze into a 15, but they fit he says. Hailey who is 8 now wear a size 5, she is only 4 sizes behind me. Then there is Taylin who turned 6 just a few days ago and she is in a size 1. I would have gotten her a 1 1/2 but that's ok. So now we sit and count the days to see if our little boy will join the big feet club!

35 weeks

I have hit the 35 week mark, FINALLY. It has gone fast and slow at the same time, but it's really starting to feel like I will be pregnant forever. I didn't gain any weight in the last 2 weeks and that made me happy. That's probably cause of my thumb and the lack of being able to eat all my extra treats. Here is my fat picture:


I went to the dr last week for my thumb and nothing has changed except the swelling had gone down. It still looks nasty though. Eric said I need to stop being a whimp and just pull the nail off. Easy for him to say, I think the pain alone will put me into labor. We all can't wait for things to get back to normal around here. Everyone including myself can't wait for me to be mom again.

Taylin also turned 6 this week and didn't get to celebrate her birthday cause she has been sick all week. Poor little girl! Whenever we celebrate it I will make sure to do a post in her honor. Here is a random picture of her and Eric from yesterday.
