There was something about this combo that kept calling for me. Yes, you are looking at pineapple and pickles. I don't know what it was, but I ate this as a snack together and it was YUMMY. I don't normally get crazy food combination cravings, but there was something about this one that was so satisfying. You should try it!!!!
Summer has just about come to an end and I can say it's going fast but boring. Since we have been home I haven't felt all that bad, but I have spent a lot of time laying on the couch.
Hailey has been my big helper getting things for me. I am such a mean mom and I scheduled her a dentist appt and her well child check on the same day. I just didn't want to schedule them different days you know. So at her dentist appt she had a little cavity filled, nothing too bad, but for her it's a major deal. Nothing that Valium and the gas couldn't handle. So she is good for another 6 months. She also received a prize from the dentist, it was a coupon for a free ice cream cone. It seems kind of suspicious to me. I think it's job security. I just don't know why a dentist would reward a child with a sugary treat. Then later she went for her check up. I would like to report that she is in the 96th percentile for her height and weight. (careful Trish she is about to pass you). She did however have to have a chicken pox vaccine, so well after that we were off to get her ice cream cone.
Taylin had a big day today cause she had to go for some kindergarten testing. This will be used to assess the kids and determine their classrooms. Taylin is not a morning person and well she had to be there at 9:45am. She tried acting shy for the teacher, but overall she was just fine. She is right on track (thank goodness or I may have asked for a refund from the preschool teacher). She also visited my dad a few nights ago and I don't know why but Taylin likes to shave his ears, trim his nose hairs, and trim the hair on his chest that peeks over his shirt. So Taylin went and grabbed the trimmers and groomed Papa. Lets hope she will keep this up so when he is really old she can be the one responsible for grooming him. 
Nothing too exciting going on. We have one last weekend planned to the beach for our annual back to school shopping.
Word has gotten out and I want to indeed confirm that we are having a baby. We are excited now that the shock has wore off. I was hestitant to post about it cause I am only 7 weeks, but this is why our vacation was cut short. Some of you know that I have had 2 miscarriages in the past. Well, on Monday I started spotting and got freaked out and we took the first flight home on Tuesday morning. I called the Dr. office right when I got home explained what was going on and telling some of the pain I was having. So I went in immediately for an ultra sound and everything looks great, the baby is in the uterus where it should be and has a strong heart beat. So I thought I needed to explain why we cut our trip short by 5 days. I have a picture from the ultra sound but I am not exactly sure how to use the scanner so you will just have to imagine one.
This will be an exciting time for babies in my family. My brother Jeff and SIL Bonnie are having a little boy in November. My brother Toby and SIL Abbie are having a baby in February (they find out next week what they are having). We have an expected due date of March 31st, but we all know that changes a lot at the beginning. But whenever the due date is set it will be earlier cause I have to have a C-Section. We are crossing our fingers that we will finally get that little boy, but honestly we will take a girl. It doesn't matter as long as he/she is healthy.
Well there is our exciting news and I will post highlights of our trip in the upcoming days.
I had to cut our trip to Utah short by a few days. I have lots to blog about and lots of pictures to post. Look for it sometime in the next few days. Lots of stuff.......
We made it to Utah safe and sound, the flight was nice and Taylin felt well. That was Saturday. Then Sunday morning Taylin woke up with a fever of 102. I could barely get her fever to break so we took her to the ER last night. After a few hours of waiting and waiting, it turns out she has a bladder infection. She is on a 3 day antibiotic and can not go out in the sun for 4 days. The swimming pool she stares at daily is calling her name, but she just can't go in it.
Shannon wanted me to include this as an update to her blog cause she was with me during all of this. So for the next 4 days it will be Shannon and I and 4 very hormonal girls stuck in the house. But anything to get Taylin better, so hopefully this weekend will be fun.
Today has been a day let me tell you what. I have all my laundry done, just need to throw it in the suitcases. Taylin is still not feeling well, but has not thrown up or had diarrhea in well over 24 hours so that's good. She is in such a bad mood though and if there is something to whine about she does. Then there is Hailey. She acts like I just rearranged and the house and seems to be running into everything. She is a very sensitive soul so when she runs into these things she cries. Ugh please fast forward a day and get me to Utah safe and sound, with nobobdy losing any body fluids. Calgon take me away!!!!
Today is the day I get to spend doing numerous loads of laundry and pack. The girls and I are leaving for Utah in a few days for 2 weeks. We have been waiting for this day for a long time. It seems like forever since Shannon and I decided that I would go to Utah. Wish me luck on my day as Taylin was up most of the night puking and a little diarrhea. She seems to be better but has had a few accidents in her pants. So that's my day and in just a few days I will be on a plane.
