It snowed again..... But the girls have school.....

Tell me if this makes any sense. Look at my post from yesterday, it snowed and school got canceled. We weren't suppose to have any snow today, but this is what we did have when the girls loaded the bus:





Yesterday, it didn't make sense that they didn't have school, but I was sad to send them to school today since there is snow. I want them to be able to play in it. All day yesterday I was telling them they could go play in it once we actually got some, but that never happened. The bus driver said to be prepared for them to come home early, I hope so. I felt really safe putting them on the bus cause they have the best bus driver ever. She had the kids positioned on the bus just right too. The kindergartners were still in their front row seats, but the rest of the kids were in a cluster right above the wheels.

I am suppose to have a dr. appt today, but since our city shuts down when it snows I need to call and see if they are still open.

One last cute note. You know the musical/movie Annie? Taylin absolutely loves it and sings all the songs word for word and right on key, oh it's so cute. Well there is a part in the movie where Annie is in the orphanage sitting in the window looking at the snow and singing. Well, that was Taylin this morning. I wish I would have been able to record it. She was so cute.

Well, it will be an interesting day to see if it keeps up or goes away?

All I can say is I REALLY hope this doesn't start the girls Christmas break early. If it did they would have just about a 3 week break.

Flash backs of Utah

Many of you know that I hate Utah, the snow, the snow, etc. We woke up today to snow. The snow is not going away and the news just said that the snow we have already will be here for days. This is rare cause we don't really get snow that lasts more than a day if that. So this means that school will be canceled, well the whole city will shut down. To a few of my fellow bloggers:

Erica- I promise to never rub it in your face again when you complain about your cold weather back east. The last time you said it was freezing it was really nice here and I rubbed it in your face a little. Well, a week later it's snowing and our highs this weeks will be in the 20's!

Sarah- I don't know what your winter weather is like back in Georgia, but my friend you are in for a cold spell when you get to the Great Northwest. I am sure you already know this, but it's going to be freezing!

I will take pictures as the snow progresses! I hate the snow, at least it's Sunday and I have nowhere to go.

I must say that although Eric wasn't able to save my vacuum, or maybe I should have saved it from him? Anyways, moving on from that poor thing. He sure redeemed himself on hanging Christmas lights this year. I am not sure about anyone else, but it really doesn't feel like winter/Christmas time. The weather has been nice and I stand corrected, Hailey says winter starts December 21st. But seriously where is the rain? Where is the cold weather? Yes, I love the rain and the coldness. Getting back to Eric, my prego brain seems to go from one subject to the next and just ramble. Oh wait I think that's A.D.D. Have you ever seen the movie Father of the Bride? Do you remember Fronk, the wedding coordinator? Well, a few years ago Eric was given the name Fronk. I am not sure the specific event that gave him the name, but I think it was the arch and 2 fences that he decorated for my sister Shannon's wedding. Or is it the birthday cakes he decorates? Or is it his ability to decorate for the holidays. Just don't have him hang anything, it will be hung WAY to high and he will be the only one to see it. He took a picture of the house that he has decorated so far. Keep in mind he has more eave that needs to be done and he let me know he has about 1,000 more lights. Didn't Fronk do a good job?



He also said that he will be hitting the sales after the holidays to get more decorations for next year. That's fine with me as long as I don't have to be out there decorating.

In other news Eric is also working part time at a jewelry store. It's the same one he worked for when we were first married. So if anyone is looking for jewelry and want a hook up let me know and I will let you know what store it is and its location.

Rest in Peace

My vacuum is done, gone, destroyed. Eric, was determined to fix the vacuum cleaner. I wouldn't say determined, but more like he just wanted to fix it so I would stop nagging him. He took it apart to get to the problem. The problem is not fixable and I would say any kind of warranty will not cover our problem. I get a new vacuum cleaner after this whole ordeal. I took a picture of the pile of parts, but I wasn't able to get them in one shot. Anyways, you get the picture.

UGH

I got a new vacuum about 10 months ago and loved it until Monday when it decided to betray me. It has let me down and the dang thing will not allow me to fix it. I took the thing apart Monday night and knew it needed a filter. I even dreamed about it that night that Eric wouldn't let me get the one I needed cause it was too expensive. (stupid dreams you have when you are pregnant). So I went to Walmart to get my filter, to my surprise my dream was almost real. The stupid thing cost $17.82. So I came home cleaned everything replaced the filter and well I just tried to vacuum and guess what. NOTHING. It turns on and it's really loud. So I tore the thing apart nearly taking off my finger and put it all together feeling good that maybe it would work. Once again, NOTHING. So now I gave up cause I get really frustrated when things don't work after I try to fix them. By this point my finger is throbbing and my belly was getting in the way of me trying to manhandle my vacuum. So now my lovely husband is trying to fix it. I will not let this vacuum betray me. I think to make my afternoon better I will go and make some cookies and watch General Hospital.

My poor jacket

I HATE HATE absolutely HATE wearing any kind of coat/jacket when it gets cold. I HATE the bulkiness of it all. I have never been a fan of them whatsoever, HATE them all. I got this fleece jacket last winter and love it. It's simple, warm, comfortable, and not bulky. However, I think our days are numbered and coming to an end. Every time I put it on and I can actually zip it is a day of success. I don't know what I am going to do now. Poor me. Oh and please excuse the facial expression and the good ol' bathroom picture.
