She's my sister

I thought while I had a sleeping baby and I am in between The Golden Girls episode I would take a second and write a post about my sister. A lot of this post won't make sense to everyone cause well, my sister and I have our own talk, memories, etc. My sister was so kind to come and take care of me after Nathan was born for 10 days. I have to admit that I was nervous cause just last summer our kids didn't get a long and wow what a difference 7 months made cause they acted like bff's for the most part. Shannon thank you for all that you did for me while you were here, I really can't put into words how thankful I am for all you did. Here are some of the things that she did; laundry, laundry, laundry, dishes, dishes, vacuumed almost everyday, bathed my kids, had special friend sleepovers, laughed our retarded laugh on the couch, she let me hit her cause it hurt so bad to laugh, watched The Golden Girls over and over, she vacuumed my sweats that I was wearing into the vacuum and all we could do was laugh, I think I have finally caught up to her or possibly passed her with the amount of diaper changes, she made my kids look presentable to go to school, made breakfast lunch and dinners, she woke up to hand me Nathan when he woke up during the night. I am sure there is stuff that I am missing, but I just wanted Shannon to know how thankful I am for all she did.

Thanks to Trish who was also here for a few days and for also helping me during the night and for also watching the Golden Girls with me.

just because

Almost 2 weeks

It's hard to believe that the little man is almost 2 weeks old. I couldn't have asked for a better baby. (let's not jinx anything) He eats, sleeps, poops, and barely cries. Both of the girls both had colic when they were babies and we are so happy to have a "normal" baby. I have a ton of pictures of him over on my facebook. The girls are loving having a baby around and they are even happier that they have not been peed on. So far the only victim of that was Eric, twice. I am recovering a lot better than the last csection and that makes me happy. Things are still a challenge as I still have that broken thumb of mine, but as a mom you just figure things out and work with what you have been dealt.

I want to thank all of those who have stepped in to help, especially Shannon who is here cleaning and cooking. I will try to get more picture up as soon as I can sit at the computer a little longer. Until then, I am going to enjoy my little man.

HE'S HERE...

NATHAN LAWRENCE KING made his arrival at 8:32 a.m. this morning..

Nathan weighed 8 pounds 9 oz and measured in at 21 3/4 inches..

PG-13?

Yesterday, I had a Dr. appt and Eric and Taylin both went with me. It was my week 39 appt which obviously meant I would get an exam and all that good stuff. Taylin has gone with us the last 3 visits and knows the routine. She stands by the exam table next to the Dr. while she measures my stomach and listens to the heartbeat then she goes and sits by Eric while I have my exam. Yesterday, Taylin wanted to know everything that was going on. After we heard the heartbeat I told her to go stand by Eric. Well, she didn't like that and her stubborn self wouldn't listen. I told her to sit down and then the Dr. told her to sit down and told her she didn't want to see what was going on. Taylin walks to Eric and on the way to him she asks," Is it rated PG-13?" Oh we were all laughing, it's nice to know a good ol' exam is rated PG-13 these days. But more importantly she knows PG-13 movies are bad!
