Today....

.... I get to meet my new nephew Austin!!!! I am super excited!!!!! I also get to spoil Aj. Aren't they the cutest?

More More More SNOW

It's still snowing. I say still cause we aren't use to this. I have literally been stuck in my house since Saturday with 2 girls going crazy. Eric made it to work yesterday and today, but I think he will have quite the drive coming home since he works out in one of the most hit places. Here are some pictures that I took from inside my house. I don't go outside for a few reasons... I don't want to fall on my butt, I don't have a jacket to fit around my stomach, and well it's too cold. If I wanted to live somewhere where it snowed I would have chosen Montana, Idaho, or Utah. Go away snow you have worn out your welcome.










Santa will still be coming tonight, I was prepared and had that stuff done. I had a few odds and ends that I needed to pick up and did that last Friday before becoming trapped. As soon as I am done with the post the girls and I are going to finish making cookie for Santa. We have postponed any type of Christmas dinner until we can get out of our house or have people over.

If you look to the right of my blog you will notice I have less than 100 days to go until the baby is born. That is til my actual due date but it's probably more like 90, I will update it when I find out the actual date of the c-section.

It's still snowing

The weather still sucks, it's still snowing and we have about 8 inches. Not a lot, but this is something we don't get often and when we do the whole city/state is closed. Yesterday at about 2pm, we officially became housebound. I hope that some of us (we won't mention who) can leave the house tomorrow to go to work. However, looking at the forecast I think it will be sticking around for the week. Eric and my brother JJ were able to make it to Walmart yesterday, in his work truck(which is a box van) with chains. I had them get some Gingerbread houses and some play dough. Play dough is a rare thing in my house, I would not buy it for the fun of it. So to keep busy we made gingerbread houses, and Eric and JJ put the crib together that we just happened to pick up this last week. Here are some pics:

Worse dr.appt ever and 2nd post of the day

This is my 2nd post of the day, not that anybody reads but this is kind of my journal so I need to blog about this. I went for my monthly check-up today and it was bad from the minute it started. I got weighed and the scale said I gained 12 pounds since last month. That can't be possible, maybe it was the winter gear I had on. I was feeling pretty good about watching what I have been eating. Then I went and had my blood pressure taken. It was HIGH, VERY HIGH. They took it a little while later and it had gone down a little bit, but still on the high side for me. Then we talked about my problems/concerns and last appt I had mentioned a vein in my leg that the dr was concerned about. So this appt I showed her and got myself a prescription for compression stockings. There is an inside joke in the family, we call these "sexy socks". My dad has been wearing them for about a year due to his blood clots, so that's what we named him. It looks like he will be able to take them off, but I will be wearing them the duration of my pregnancy. Last but not least it was time to take blood to test for pre-eclampsia, etc., to see what's going on. I have never ever had good veins for taking blood. About 3 years I had my tonsils out and had serious complications and spent 8 days in the hospital. Being in the hospital meant getting my blood drawn every few hours. Lets just say they blew most of my veins and I have a very little one left that is good for blood draws. The nurse was laughing cause she was getting frustrated with my veins and 20 minutes later she finally got a vein. I just want to cry. I forgot to mention that instead of going back in a month I get to go back in 2 weeks. Hopefully the blood results show nothing. Until then here is a 25 weeks shot. Please excuse the mirror, yes my bathroom needs to be cleaned. Any volunteers?

It snowed again..... But the girls have school.....

Tell me if this makes any sense. Look at my post from yesterday, it snowed and school got canceled. We weren't suppose to have any snow today, but this is what we did have when the girls loaded the bus:





Yesterday, it didn't make sense that they didn't have school, but I was sad to send them to school today since there is snow. I want them to be able to play in it. All day yesterday I was telling them they could go play in it once we actually got some, but that never happened. The bus driver said to be prepared for them to come home early, I hope so. I felt really safe putting them on the bus cause they have the best bus driver ever. She had the kids positioned on the bus just right too. The kindergartners were still in their front row seats, but the rest of the kids were in a cluster right above the wheels.

I am suppose to have a dr. appt today, but since our city shuts down when it snows I need to call and see if they are still open.

One last cute note. You know the musical/movie Annie? Taylin absolutely loves it and sings all the songs word for word and right on key, oh it's so cute. Well there is a part in the movie where Annie is in the orphanage sitting in the window looking at the snow and singing. Well, that was Taylin this morning. I wish I would have been able to record it. She was so cute.

Well, it will be an interesting day to see if it keeps up or goes away?

All I can say is I REALLY hope this doesn't start the girls Christmas break early. If it did they would have just about a 3 week break.

Flash backs of Utah

Many of you know that I hate Utah, the snow, the snow, etc. We woke up today to snow. The snow is not going away and the news just said that the snow we have already will be here for days. This is rare cause we don't really get snow that lasts more than a day if that. So this means that school will be canceled, well the whole city will shut down. To a few of my fellow bloggers:

Erica- I promise to never rub it in your face again when you complain about your cold weather back east. The last time you said it was freezing it was really nice here and I rubbed it in your face a little. Well, a week later it's snowing and our highs this weeks will be in the 20's!

Sarah- I don't know what your winter weather is like back in Georgia, but my friend you are in for a cold spell when you get to the Great Northwest. I am sure you already know this, but it's going to be freezing!

I will take pictures as the snow progresses! I hate the snow, at least it's Sunday and I have nowhere to go.
