Poor litte guy

I am sure that Nathan can't wait to get older so he can fight back. I have blogged about Nathan being taught how to make out with a doll, being stuck "playing" barbies, has had polly pockets stuck in his pants pockets, and Taylin has even hidden her purse in Nathans carseat from time to time under his blanket. The last one is really embarrassing cause when you go to show him to people he has a purse wrapped around his arm. Today he became a victim of dress up.






So this is how I found him this morning after I went to the bathroom. Can you guess who did it?

I am so excited!

I am super excited for Christmas this year. My sister Shannon is coming for Christmas for 18 days! Her and her kids will come first and then her husband will join us later. It has been 9 years since all of my family was together for Christmas. Hailey was only 5 months and Eric and I were the only married couple. Now there are 4 married couples and 13.5 grandkids. The half is for Shannon's baby, she is half way through her pregnancy. Things sure will be different since the last time we were all together. I can't wait for the baking, our laughing sessions, and just being dorks together. She truly is my BFF and I can't wait to see her. The last time I saw her was when Nathan was just born, she came to help me out. I of course couldn't go out and about with her cause I had a c-section and could barely get off the couch. I can't wait this is going to be the best Christmas ever!

Fall Fun

Here is a post, wow it's been awhile. We decided the other days the leaves needed some much needed attention and got to raking. Taylin thought this was really fun and was really upset the next morning when she woke up and some more leaves had fallen. She said she worked so hard to clean it up. Welcome to my world. With a big pile of leaves we decided to take some pictures!

July

We started off July celebrating the 4th. It was hot, really hot. Jeff and Bonnie came down and we had a good ol' BBQ. Jeff and I prepared some of dinner while Bonnie and my mom were shopping. We made a fruit salad and Jeffy made a really cool "dish" out of the watermelon. The Navy has taught him so much.

A few days later my sister had her birthday, I believe she turned 29 again. It's funny how I caught up to Trish's age.


Then Hailey turned 9. 9 years old. Is it even possible for me to have a 9 year old? Here are some pictures of her special day.

Then Eric and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary. 10 years is a long time, but we started "going out" 14.5 years ago. We celebrated big this year. We splurged and went to dinner and a movie. I know you are super jealous, but it's funny how a new baby seems to control all your plans. Oh well, what can I say. We did have a good time though. I love that I can be myself around Eric, whether it be funny, nice, mean, hormonal, or whatever he still says he loves me.

The last big event was my other sisters Shannon's bday. She hasn't caught up to Trish and I yet, we will forever be 29 and Shannon is lucky she only turned 28. I looked for a picture of Shannon, but couldn't seem to find one. I am sure if I look really hard I could come up with one.

Well, this was July in a nut shell. Time to tend to a crying baby and then comes August. August was a great month with a new addition to the family, stay tuned for details!

Updates

I hate it when people don't update their blogs, cause if blogs aren't updated then I can't waste away my time. But, I have become one of those bloggers. I don't update very often. For those of you even a little interested in my blog, please continue to hold as I update. I need to gather all of my thoughts and pictures. I think I will do this all by month to month starting with July.

I am in love with B.O.B

and he is taking over my life. Ok, if you are my friend on Facebook you know that I am talking about the B.O.B Revolution stroller that I am dying to get my hands on. I have been searching for a gently used one and have had my heart crushed on 2 deals gone bad on Craigslist, but we won't talk about it. I think I will just have to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I love the thrill of looking for a deal instead of paying full price and I know that my patience will pay off. Last night I realized that B.O.B is a little more involved in my life than I was willing to admit. I look for one daily multiple time. I was getting ready for church this morning when I started to giggle to myself and Eric asked what was so funny. I told him I couldn't tell him cause I knew he would make fun of me. But, me giggling to myself he knew it was good. I dreamt about B.O.B last night. I dreamt I finally got my stroller, the one that has been consuming so much of my thoughts. Here is the funny part. In my dream I am running slow motion through a parking lot pushing B.O.B. It's so slow motion, but my hair is blowing in the wind and I am running to the song Chariots of Fire. The even funnier part is that while I am running, I am pushing an empty stroller while Eric is walking behind me holding Nathan. This is the funniest dream I have had in a long time. Don't worry I will get one and I will let Nathan sit in it.

No Allowance Here.....

My girls are out of control and I am thinking about calling Nanny 911 or Super Nanny. My girls are selfish and only do things if it benefits them. They don't help me clean unless they can do something or go somewhere. They don't treat each other with respect or me for that matter. I created a chore chart a few years ago and failed at it miserably, I think they were too young. I am ready to create a new one and stick with it and teach these girls there is more to life then just themselves. I do not believe, however, in paying an allowance for chores they should do as part of growing up and becoming young ladies. But, I do think they need to have some visual reward program that they can see where they will get something after a period of time. But, they will also be able to see that with disrespect to those around them they will see those little rewards being taken away as well. I love my girls and I feel like most of the time I am losing the battle with them. It's time. Time for them to learn how to be helpful, loving, and respectful. Time to take control of my house. So I ask, has anyone had any succussful chore charts/rewards that DO NOT include paying them? I am open for any suggestion. Remember these kids are our future! HELP!!!!
