Please excuse the dust

I don't really have anything to blog about. I still have family in town and we are just enjoying our time together. Most of us have been hit with some kind of cold/illness, I guess that's to be expected when 25 people get together. I have already changed my background to Valentine's Day. The stores already have Valentine stuff out so why can't I have a Valentines background. I promise I won't get the decorations out yet. A friend took some pictures of my whole family while everyone was in town so as soon as I get them I will update my photos.. So please excuse the dust. I know my background doesn't match with my fall photos!

Family Fun Night

This year my whole family will be in town for Christmas. Every single one of us along with spouses and children. That puts the total right around 30. Last night was the first of many family fun nights. Not all of us are here yet either. We decided to play Scattegories last night. We started with 8 players, but ended with only 5 players. It was so fun and decided that we wouldn't count points to determine the winner, rather we were excited that we just made it to the end of round 12. There were so many distractions, let's see. There was one little child who peed his pants, one little girl who needed to use the bathroom quite a few times, one pregnant one who also needed to use the bathroom. Fun was had by all, well at least those of us playing the game.



There are so many little girls that the boys are out numbered. I didn't want them to feel left out so I put a bow in their hair. They didn't like it. Blackmail for later on in life.

Chicken Pox

Nathan came down with the chicken pox 2 days ago. I must say that it hasn't been that bad, I am sure his age has something to do with it. He hasn't had much discomfort, I know that I would if my skin was covered with chicken pox. I think we are almost done with them, as the dots have been going away. Here are some pictures of my poor guy.

Our Little Devil

Nathan has a thing for noise. He loves to feel things to see if they make a noise. We have a lamp from IKEA that cost I think 9.99, it has been a good lamp until somebody figured out how to crawl. He will crawl to the lamp and hit it a few times until we save the lamp from him. Well, he hit it a little too hard a few weeks ago and put a hole in it. No problem, we will just turn it around and nobody will see that side. That didn't solve the problem (like we thought it would). The poor lamp did not last and Nathan was not hurt.












I have decided that he loves the lamp cause it reminds him of the paper they have on the exam table at the Dr.'s office. He loves that paper, he usually has it destroyed by the time we leave.

We will never own a paper lamp again and I have a feeling that our poor Christmas tree and presents will be in danger this year. I think I will "accidentally" have him unwrap the presents that are for me.

In other new the little devil turned into a speckled frog in just a few hours. The little devil now has the chicken pox. I will post pics of him later. I hope it's short lived and that everyone can get healthy again.

Poor Big Guy

The title of my last post was poor little guy in reference to Nathan. This one is in reference to Eric. It's no secret that I have had one hell of a year. A thumb that I injured in February and still hasn't returned to normal, a c-section, and recently getting my appendix out. I would like to let everyone know that it seems my curse (a c-section isn't a curse, but it's still awful) may be over. The big guy broke his nose the other night. Yes, Eric not I got hurt. He was playing basketball with some friends and took a forearm to his nose. Poor little lamb.

Poor litte guy

I am sure that Nathan can't wait to get older so he can fight back. I have blogged about Nathan being taught how to make out with a doll, being stuck "playing" barbies, has had polly pockets stuck in his pants pockets, and Taylin has even hidden her purse in Nathans carseat from time to time under his blanket. The last one is really embarrassing cause when you go to show him to people he has a purse wrapped around his arm. Today he became a victim of dress up.
